New education program launching February 2025

Psychological safety is a cornerstone of effective teamwork, backed by extensive research showing its vital role in creating high-performing teams. When individuals feel safe to share ideas, ask questions, raise concerns, and discuss mistakes without fear of judgment, collaboration thrives. This is particularly important in diverse settings, such as multidisciplinary teams or those with varied specialty training and cultural backgrounds, where psychological safety helps unlock the full potential of every member.

In short, psychological safety matters in medicine. It matters for enabling and achieving the best outcomes via collaboration in complex and dynamic teamwork.

In 2025, we are launching a new Education program to provide explicit knowledge and training into what psychological safety is, why it matters in complex and collaborative work environments, and how to create it in your team and/or department.

This program details the theory and research behind this important and influential concept and provides knowledge and skills for how to increase psychological safety in your teams and workplace. This includes increasing knowledge and understanding of specific skills and practices that enhance psychological safety and how to learn and improve these in yourself and your teams.

Our program is highly practical and accessible – providing a blend of highly personalised learning in a 1:1 online learning environment.

You will access readings and resources, engage in one-one-one education sessions with our highly experienced and expert leadership coaching and educator and build your own action plan for creating and enhancing psychological safety in one of your teams now.
